Presenter Instructions

Congratulations again for being selected to present at this year's conference.  Please visit the program schedule posted on the website to confirm the format of your presentation – oral presentation or poster presentation. Instructions for each of these formats is listed below:

Instructions for Concurrent Session Oral Presenters

Presentation Time: 

Each oral presentation is allotted 12 minutes – ten (10) minutes for presentation and two (2) minutes for questions and change between each presentation.  The session chairs for each session will strictly enforce the time allowed to ensure the smooth running of the program and allow for ample time for discussion.

AV Equipment: 

The Conference will provide an LCD projector, screen and laptop in each session room for PowerPoint (PPT) presentations. Although wifi is being provided by the conference center, please note that we cannot guarantee an experience free from delayed or inconsistent internet access during your presentation (i.e., you may wish to limit or exclude internet-accessed video from your presentation and refrain from relying on google slides for your presentation).   

Submission of Final Presentations: 

A finalized electronic copy of your PPT presentation is due to the Conference Coordinator via NationalLGBTQHealthConference@gmail.com by Wednesday, May 22.


Instructions for Poster Presenters:

Poster Format: 

Posters should be PORTRAIT format (vertically displayed) of no larger than 36 inches (3 feet) wide and 48 inches (4 feet) in height. Please note that poster presenters will be required to provide their own poster (i.e., there will be no facilities to print your poster on site). 

Poster Set-up: 

Posters will be displayed on the garden level of the conference center (downstairs from the conference center lobby). All posters are to be displayed no later than 8am on the assigned day and remain posted until the end of the day.  Push pins will be available.  

Presentation Time: 

You will be asked to stand with your poster for one 30-minute poster session as noted in the program schedule.

Poster Highlights: 

Session chairs/moderators will be showcasing several relevant posters in concurrent oral sessions. If yours is chosen, we will notify you by May 13 with further instructions.
